Orlando is more than theme parks! We have so many dog-friendly things to do both around the attractions and all over the Central Florida area. Below are our favorites:

Lake Eola Park swan boat rentals
These boats are dog friendly and a great deal. Pair with a walk around the lake and lunch at a dog friendly restaurant. We love The Stubborn Mule, World of Beer, and Outpost Orlando.

Lake Baldwin Dog Park
Need to get the zoomies out and explore? This park features 75+ acres to explore off leash and access to Lake Baldwin if your dog wants to swim. BONUS: Take a 2.5 mile stroll around the lake and really wear the dog out.

Boxi Park Lake Nona
Dog friendly, food trucks, live music, and more! This open air container park is a great spot to spend a few hours. Grab some food or drink and people watch with your pup. They even have a small dog park area so your pup can take relieve themselves or run around for a moment.

Events
These events happen periodically during the year. Be sure to check the host’s website or social media for dates.

Milk Mart: Held a few time a year, this large vendor market is the best place to shop from makers from all over the Central Florida area. Follow them on Instagram at @milkmartorlando
Dog Days at Leu Gardens: About twice a year Leu Gardens opens up to dogs and their families. You can explore the gardens with your dog, shop vendors, talk with rescues and even take place in fun contests. (Ruby and I did the look alike contest one year.)

Paws in the Park: The biggest dog event of the year is Paws in the Park at Lake Eola. This event is a fundraise for Pet Alliance of Orlando and takes place in February. This event includes TONS of vendors, rescues, adoptable pets, activities like Swift Paws and Dock Diving and even a costume contest.

Pups of Pride: This annual doggy day out at an Orlando Pride game is aways a highlight of the year. Keep an eye out on our Instagram page for updates on the next one. They usually take place in the spring.
When venturing out with your dog, don’t forget to take the weather into consideration. While these sites are dog-friendly, dogs may not be allowed in the inside areas so it could be warm. Visit early in the day or the cooler months of the year if possible.
